We're starting off our Art Eras Summer Camp program with a fun one!
Let your child's imagination soar at our Savvy Street Art camps designed specifically for young artists aged 3 to 15 during the first week of our summer camp program. We'll learn all about how to express culture in our community, the importance of mural art, and what makes graffiti art special.
Set in the vibrant locales of Steveston Richmond, Kerrisdale, and Point Grey in Vancouver, this special theme runs every weekday from June 24-28, providing a dynamic blend of artistic disciplines and fun, hands-on learning.
An Artistic Adventure Awaits!
Our summer camp isn't just any camp; it's a celebration of creativity, exploration, and personal expression! Over the course, our students will dive into an exciting array of artistic activities inspired by featured artists like Osgemeos and Banksy.
Painting Studies: Campers will learn various painting techniques that street artists use to create vibrant, eye-catching works. They’ll experiment with colors and textures, taking inspiration from the lively streets of Vancouver.
Sculpture Hand-Building: Using materials ranging from clay to recycled objects, children will craft their own three-dimensional art pieces. This hands-on experience not only boosts their fine motor skills but also encourages them to think creatively about shapes and spaces.
Fine Arts Drawing Techniques: From sketching basics to advanced drawing, our camp covers it all. Participants will enhance their drawing skills, learning to capture the essence of subjects with pencil and charcoal.
Textile/Multimedia Arts: Kids will explore the world of textiles and mixed media, creating unique pieces that blend different materials and techniques. This session promises to be a colourful exploration of texture and design.
Science and Art Exploration: By combining scientific concepts with artistic processes, campers will engage in projects that illuminate the magic of science through art. These activities foster a deeper understanding of how the world works, alongside developing their artistic talents.
Creative Story Writing and Reading: What’s a work of art without a story? Our young artists will also delve into the world of literature, crafting their own tales and participating in interactive reading sessions. This fosters not only literacy but also imaginative thinking and narrative skills.

With multiple locations in Steveston Richmond, Kerrisdale, and Point Grey, our camp is easily accessible. Classes start at 9:00 or 10:00 AM and run until 5:15 PM, making it convenient for parents and perfect for kids who are full of energy.
